Internships for Omani women

|   Current

The implementation of three-month professional internships is a focus of our Society's work this year and next. Against the backdrop of high youth unemployment, internships make it easier for young Omanis to find a career and promote successful entry into employment in the long term.

The German Language Section of Nizwa University is our Omani partner this year. Our Vice-President, Professor Dr. Sibylle Brunner, designed the programme, selected participants in a multi-stage written and oral examination process, acquired and advised companies in Oman and Germany as internship providers.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the owners of the OakHill Development Academy in Muscat, Alexandra and Georg Eichenberg  and to the CEO of the logistic specialist Pro Service GmbH in München, Viktor André Fuchs, who is also a member of our society. Their commitment and dedication have contributed significantly to the success of the internships.

Our two internship scholarship holders, Sulaf Khalid and Al Zahraa Hasani, deserve recognition for their courage and willingness to take on the challenges of everyday working life, routines and daily tasks – all in German.
